Well, I finally got my hood painted and mounted on the car. It actually doesn't look too bad. I painted it a satin black and it matches my convertible top. I wonder if I can fool any ricer's into thinking it came from the factory that way???:Brow:

Anyway, for anyone that wants to know, I measured everything up again and here's how mine worked out:

Side to side: it's 19" from side edge of hood to scoop on both sides.

Back of hood to back of hood scoop: mine is 10-11/16".

I did miss by a bit in the front to back alignment a bit. To get the hood scoop perfectly centered on the scoop, you would want 11-1/4" from the back of the hood to the scoop. My front cut is exactly at the front of the base of the scoop and straight cut. Other than that it looks great.

Also, it measures up that I could fit a 5" filter element under there, but it would be tight. I will be getting a 4" K&N filter to go with the x-treme top. My air filter is sitting on top of one of Gary Kubisch's plexi-pans, which mounts flat on the carb.

Lon Bauer will be coming over in the coming week with his digital camera to take a couple of pics. Can't wait for Norwalk.
