Anyone know which of the 3 fibre optic cables goes to which lights.
Also was there a rubber grommet that they pushed into in the light housing.

    Thanks.
    Tony.

the OEM assignment of the Vigilite system was
blue ran to the high beam headlight bulb.
Green ran to the low beam headlight bulb.
and the middle clear lense ran to the turn signal/parking light.

the way i like to use them is.
blue to the high beam headlight bulb
green to the turn signal/parking light(so it matches the same color of the turn signal indicator thats flashing in my dash)..
clear to the low beam headlight. it just seems to make more sense to me.

on your turn signal socket there is sometimes a second tube down the side of it much like the tube where the ground wire runs. if there is, the end of it closest to the bulbs light must be drilled out enough to let light flow through the hole and into the "SeeLite" (fiber optic) wires. there is a brass collar that helps the SeeLite wire secure itself inside the little tube on the side of the socket.

as for the headlights, the small brass collar on the SeeLite wire snaps right in the center of the regular headlight wiring socket. but when the socket gets plugged back into the headlight, there is supposed to be a small (about 3/8 - 1/2 inch long) piece of plastic pipe to help guide the light from the little glass "nipple" on the rear/center of the headlight to the end of the SeeLite wire.

the Vigilite system is not compatible with those silly new H4 style headlights.
here is a poor picture of some GM instructions. i swiped the pic from ebay a couple years back.

Can you tell me where you obtain that info? Is that taken from the Service Bulletins? I am installing mine on my Centurion and could not find any info on it until your post.

I'll have to start looking for one. I have the 1973 Chassis Servive Manual and the 1973 Fisher Body Service Manual and the info is not in those 2 books other than the power door lock solenoid installation to the door.

I am looking to install the power door lock option and still need the wiring harness for it. I have no clue on how to set it up. The Fisher Body manual just has the installation for the lock solenoids, but no wiring.

Also I have the corner fender head lights along with the wiring, but again have no clue in the installation.

If you come across the diagrams that would be helpful otherwise I guess its off to e-bay searching for the book.

    Thanks

Check the Buick Service manual index for 'Lamp Monitor' -- That's what Buick called the fiber optics. It could be in the accessories section, the electrical section, or the front sheet metal section.

The cornering lights have the front wiring already in the harness. Just look for an unused lead near the lamps. You'll need the last section of wire with the socket and ground wire. You'll also need a turn signal switch for cornering lamps too.

The door lock wiring is pretty simple, just 3 wires. But you'll have to take the dash apart to get it. The cross car harness goes behind the defroster ducts, near the windshield.

Just remember who built each portion of the car to figure out where to find the info you need. Fisher built the body, most everything from the dash back, then shipped it to Buick. Buick was responsible for everything else.

find something like this on ebay and be ready to pay about 300+ bux ...
NOS kits go for crazy $$$. i saw a complete front and rear kit for a 69 chevelle go for 3500 dollars last summer.

i like having them on my cars but i dont care much for them being chrome ... i think i am gonna blast and paint my next ones to match the car.

door locks are an easy wire job ... but if you plan to install keyless entry to them at a later date, it is wise to install them using 2 bosch style relays at the time of the lock installation.
