Hi George. I have Fel-Pro # 8494PT for the individual head gasket, and # HS8494PT as the "Head Set" - I guess it includes valve cover gaskets, stem seals, etc. (Numbers taken from their web page.) Not sure about the over bore. Larry
The Orange Crush gaskets are about .040". I think that's about what the Fel-Pro's are. I thought I had a pair of Fel-Pro's laying around, but it turned out they were Sealed Power. For what it's worth they measured .050" uncompressed. Are these for your new aluminum heads? Larry
yea Larry i dont know what the Fel Pro or the TA`s are uncompressed, but yes they are for my Aluminum heads. Thanks
The thing is this,i have a set of Orange crush head gaskets but i`ve never had a problem with the Fel Pro`s so i trust them more the TA gaskets
I know what you mean. It's hard to argue with success. Maybe it's more critical with the aluminum heads? o No: I would guess that the aluminum will expand and contract at a different rate that the iron did, and that the surface finish might be different too. Sounds like a question for one of the Jims. Larry
