Wondering if anyone has bought parts from Then and Now, and what their experience was in terms of quality, delivery time, customer service for any problems/returns, etc .

    Thanks

Mark has always been good to us here. I have bought tons of things from him over the last 6 years for me and my customers.

Dennis - I can't speak directly to parts, but I've had alot of work on my car done there. As has everyone in our BCA chapter. No complaints. Mark Reeves and his crew do great work. My experience with customer service, etc. has always been good.

I have nothing but good stuff to say. I've bought lots of parts from Mark the last couple years and he has always been good to me. Even being in Canada he still takes the time to ship to me.

You want to know about feedback,

I had Mark Reeves restore my 1971 GSX, and when I sent the car down to him it went with tons of parts. Many of the parts were so rare that people hadn't seen pieces like that for over 20 years, and were virtually irreplaceable. I trusted him with everything and he met all my expectations and then some. I could not give anyone higher praise or respect.

I was going to relate my experience with Then and Now but if you have seen Duanes X or any of Mike Swbodka's GSX's you would know what kind of work he does. I have a lot of parts from Mark on my Suncoupe. While he may not be the cheapest he comes thru with good parts. If not for Mark we might not have new quarters, core supports and filler panels for ther 70-72's. The last item I got was a set of door handles that are rechromed. I only wish I could have had them do my complete resto. One day:TU:

I purchased a reproduction inner fender and had a dash restored for my 71 GS by Then and Now. I have no complaints

I went ahead and ordered a restored dash from them. Quality was okay, a few flaws but minor enough that nobody would notice unless they were looking really closely. However, the back of the accessory section on the far right had been cut out, and in order to mount my convertible top switch I had to epoxy on a piece of rigid plastic and drill mounting holes. Not a huge deal, obviously, but annoying that they sold a restored dash without repairing that part of it first.

I would have called Mark about that right away. I agree it should have not been sold that way. I am surprised but anyone can screw up I bet Mark would make it right.

I'm sending them a core and plan to include a note. I would have gotten in touch right away, but I was putting the dash together and getting ready to install so I had no choice but to fix it myself. And as I said, it wasn't a big deal, more of an annoyance. I know mistakes can be made (I've made one of two myself in my lifetime!) and I appreciated all the positive feedback I got on Then and Now in this thread. However, this is my first Buick restoration and I've really gotten frustrated with some of the restored and reproduction parts, with inferior quality, bad fit, etc. With exceptions for guys like Mike Garrison, whose repro parts have been excellent in terms of quality and fit.
