Who's got and how fast is the fastest 1st Generation ('63-'65) Riviera out there? Does the fool with the blown 425 have an official time on that monster? Thanks,
I don't know if it's the fastest but my dad's '64 runs real good. 1.65 short time 12.8's in the 1/4 mile. It even pulls the front wheel off the ground on the launch! Not bad for a car weighing well over 4000lbs. Ken
Sweet! I wish I had a smilie doing the Jesse James (sellout) sweetfingers but I don't. My stock 65 always felt slightly more spry than my built 70, but then again I could never get the 70 tuned properly it seemed. Keep'm coming man.
Should be good Last time I had it to the drages in '79 it ran 14.9 at 96 mph, stock in gran sport trim stock exhaust and radial tires at Seattle International Raceway. 3 motors, 4 torque converters, 4 trans, and 3 rearends later since they closed most of the drag strips it is hard to find one near by. Should be able to pull a couple seconds off my old time pushing 10 psi. At Rialto Run-what-ya-brung, in '99 went to do burnout and damn thing hooked, I thought my brakes gave. Friend said I went down track with front wheels locked. Did'nt have any flat spots anyway. One day I'll get it back to the track. :3gears:
