Some of the guys on the Chevelle board using the Comp Cams XE line of cams report an increase in valvetrain noise (due to the aggresive, fast intake profile). However, they do have a higher rocker ratio (1.7) which may account for the faster int valve rate. Does anyone with a fast ramp design notice an increase in valvetrain noise? TIA.
Yep, I do. It's a Comp Cams XE .540 ish lift both sides with TA 1.6 roller rockers. The noise isn't ridiculous but noticable.
