I've been a member of this site for a few years, and am now finally taking the time to look around. Glad to see there are plenty of Electra fans out here. I own two myself - a 72 and 73 - both 225's.

I will be posting pics this coming week and updating my garage profile with specs. Two great cars!

It is mainly those big boats why I visit this board although most of the posts here are related to the smaller Buicks. Still a great board.
Looking forward to see some photos of your 225's.

I love my 73 Limited 2 Door, it's a rusty PA car but I drive it all the time....best $20 bucks I've ever spent!

They really are awesome cars - such a smooth ride and easy to work on when something breaks. The engines barely break a sweat for in town driving. My A/C in the '73 still chills down the air like a champ - and it's never been charged since manufacture.

I loved my 1976 Electra-had to sell it but will get another C-body when I have a garage to store it.

Does your Lincoln have the gold tinted moonroof? I have a 1978 Town Car, Ice-blue metallic.

Yes, gold tint on the moon roof. My Dad bought it new in '74 and got every option available. We replaced the two front fenders, which were rotted from winter salt with two brand new ones from an AZ car in the desert. Pristine. Paint is shot and most body work is done. Needs to e painted. Engine is clean as a whistle - big 460 block - 4 bbl. Tons of power, and a seriously smooth ride! Is your TC a regular driver or just on 'sundays'?

No, I drive it quite regularly now. I want to get another vehicle soon since my Buick is gone.

I will be getting a late 90's Park Avenue...I like them. I would also like to get another '76 Electra.

sweet ride you've got there - looks like a wet paint coat look. Take good care of that machine as they sure don't make 'em like that.

    that's got the 460, right?

My Mark has a set of Elite whitewalls my Dad put on it back in the 90's. Not many miles on them and they look like new. I haven't driven mine in over a year, so I want to get her fired up and moving a bit before the cold weather sets in. Come Spring, I want to get the roof re-covered and painted. I have to snap shots of it and post.

I always thought the slanting of the dashboard and gauges towards the driver was a nice feature.

Is the exterior on the 73 black or is it a dark silver shade? I couldn't tell.

Yes, the dash looks like a cockpit in the way everything faces the driver.

The '73 is actually a medium brown with a black roof (does not show up too well in the garage with flash).

I've always wanted a '74 two door Electra; - just could never find one. I love my '66 Electra, it's a smooth runner and it is surprisingly nimble considering it's size. The thing out handles my buddy's 69 Caprice and just is more refined.

The mass-slaughter of these cars that took place up here in the late 80's was painful to watch. A lot of perfectly good cars went to the crusher because they were considered too big and they had a bit of rust.

Good to see that others are taking an interest in these big battleships, hopefully more people get into them and they actually start making parts for them again.

Found my original radio from my '72. Replaced it back in the '80's with cassette. Must weigh 20 lbs with the heat sink.

Any pics of the yarded '73?

Not sure what shape your '73 is in, but as these are becoming so rare, it would be a shame to have it 'derby-ied'. That honor should be left to some nice foreign make. ;)
