    Very Nice Sir!

I also love to fish. I don't get much time to, because I am on the road transporting a lot of the time. I do however carry an ultra-lite rod & reel in the truck with me & have been known to sneak down to a river or lake behind a rest area or on the property of a customer who happens to have a pond that is stocked.

Went to LLOYD-FEST 2023, a HAMB member get together @ the 1/8th mile racetrack in Owingsville, Ky the 1st weekend of Oct. There happened to be a river that ran next to the property & I couldn't help throwing a few casts in! Caught a couple of very small Large Mouth Bass. My wife took a picture, so I could not exaggerate the size LMAO!:p

    God Bless

Thanks Bill! My older brother always kept a pole and small tackle box in his car! Ever ready to fish ! My time is sometimes limited too! I did get to take in some fly fishing, actually my favorite when on my vacations out west! Fished the yellow stone, boulder river and several small creeks! Got to fit in fun when you can!

Used to love fishing every chance I had. Like Bill, my job of the past 25 years cut into that time. Sold my 16 foot fishing boat in 2006. Haven't been on the water since. :(
The Red River north of the Lockport dam is renowned for its excellent fall walleye fishing. There's a subspecies called Greenback which can reach 15-17 lbs! They get this color from the limestone bedrock upon which most of Lake Winnipeg sits. People come up from several northern US states for the opportunity to catch them.

Here's an 8 pounder I caught many years ago. Tom with greenback walleye.jpg

I’m out fishing 4-6 days a week during the spring and summer. I get a few hours in before work. Aug-Jan hunting

I love fishing. There are a ton of lakes around here with large bass. A few miles down the road from me is Seal Cove Pond. Believe it or not, there are Smallmouth, brown trout, pickerel, white perch.... The brown trout are relegated to the deeper section of the lake which is approx 40 feet, but they hover at all depths in that section. It is not unusual to pull pickerel from that lake that are a few feet long. My friend nailed one that was over 5 pounds and 36 inches. I can't believe the brownies coexist with the pickerel but they do and some get actually pretty huge, several pounds. Same with the smallies. We've caught some real healthy pigs from there. Same with Long Pond on the other side of the island. No pickerel in there though thankfully. Honestly those things are like cockroaches when you're fishing for other species.

I rely on as much as I can harvest legally. I game fish as well as stock up for the season. I also rely heavily on wild game to get us through the year. The least I have to go to the grocery stores the better. I have fished many species and many lakes. Done some out of the country trips. I make my own baits as well. Our meals consist of atleast 2 days a week of wild game. And 2x a month fish. I trophy fish as well.
