We got the word today that we will be having the Harrisburgs area first showing of the newest Buick, the Lacrosse will be on display the day of the gathering! I also had a request for taking a cruise throught the Hershey area. Let me know if anyone would be intrested in going on a cruise throught Hershey. I figure we could do this at 3:00 and afterwards could cruise to my house, I have room in the yard for about 35 cars. Local OLDIES radio station 96.1 will be broadcasting live from 10 to 12, Auction held at 1:00 and 50/50 drawing at 2:00, cruise at 3:00. Let me know if you have any other suggestions. Paul
I just spoke to Duane and here is a short list of the items that will be up for auction, Thanks to the efforts of Duane, we will have some BPG memberships, Thanks to Frank we have a repro. black overflow tank, pre heat tubes, heat riser tube, turbo emblems Annie Oakley is sending some center caps, Basket of Hersheys products, car cleaning and detailing kits, Oil changes from Turner Buick, GMP 1/24th scale TWEAKED regal, Metal Buick signs and more to come. Thanks to Turner we will be giving out t-shirts and hats. There are more parts being donated but I have to see what all is being sent. So bring your check books! Remeber that all proceeds go to the BPG! Oldies Radio station 96.1 will be doing a live broadcast from 10-12, great way to show case our club and great club members!! Just an update on the weather, looks like the hurricane will not arrive until Sunday. There are still calling for rain Saturday. I will be watching for an updated forcast. I have talked to Lee Turner and we will have room to park car inside, we have half of the shop, all of the recon dept and there is room in the service area. So do not worry about the weather! I'll be posting this in the parts wanted section, but I'm curious if anyone will have any of the metal transmission crossmember mounts that lay over the rubber insulators and bolt to the frame for sale ? I desperately need some, so if you have any nos or very nice ones for sale, can you bring them to the meet? Thanks :TU:
me yes, car no. I'll be there... well, I will.. my skylark wont. The time between Carlisle and this weekend have been spent working, goofing off, not doing things around the house, and playing "musical transmissions" with the car. A thought occured to me.. maybe I should get one of these transmissions rebuilt, then put it in the car! ou: Anyway, I am going to make a long Saturday out of it by hitting a junkyard and then droping in on the Turner Bash. See some cool cars and cool people and start getting ready for fall Carlisle. See ya there. ps I *do* own a Buick, no really,... I do.
Hey Guys- I was hoping to make it, but it looks like I won't be able to. That's a bummer because seeing just Paul's car alone is worth the trip. I saw it for the first time at Berwyn last year, what a beauty! I love the color combination. All the other great Buicks there are icing on the cake! Is anyone heading down from the Ct area? Or northern Jersey/NYC area? Duane finished a passenger side inner fender repair for me that I'm hoping can hitch a ride up this way. (Please don't auction it off! LOL) Any help would be appreciated! Well even if it rains we will stay dry! The tent is here and it has clear plastic sides on it! We are ready to go! Inside parking for cars, do not think we can get them all inside, but we will try. Weather is still up in the air, maybe rain in the morning. Paul
