Well It is offical, September 18th, at Turner Buick in Harrisburg Pa. is the site for the fall get together! All are welcome! I will be spreading the word around to all local Buick clubs, Boom, NorthEast, etc. With the permission of the directors I would also like to use this as a fund raiser, membership drive. We are going to have our own roped off area for the cars, eats and I hope to have some raffle prizes to help raise money for the BPG. It would be great to see about 100 cars! Lee Turner is going to do some local advertising. No Judging just as nice place to show off our cars and let others see what the BPG is all about. I know for sure of about 25 cars, including the Famous X-Camino! I would like to try to keep track of how many are going to show, helps with food and drinks. Turner Buick is a 10minute drive to Hershey Park, AACA Museum and 30 minutes from the Lancaster Attractions. Within a 2 mile radias our 9 Hotels, motels. A great family weekend trip. Any Question Just email me! Paul and Lynn Gawel
WE would like to borrow the Banner! It looked great at Carlisle, Let me know who to ask (Bruce ?) Glad you guys made it home ok, next year we will remeber SUN SCREEN! See you in Salem Paul and Lynn
Glad to hear you are coming! We are planning on having a lot of different cars. We would like to fill the show room with an assortment of cars for about a week before the picnic. I want to ask duane if he would be willing to put the X-Camino in there along with my GS, John Goetz's Pearl T-Type and a original 65 Riv. Hope to see you in Salem Paul
Paul, Banner should not be a problem, will need all of them for Salem, bought you may use one or two after that, just keep me posted. Bruce
Thanks Bruce, I would also like to get, if I can some back issues of the Build Sheet to put on a table under the banner, so that people can get a taste of what they get from the BPG. I can give them information about membership. We have been to all of the eas coast get togethers and have signed in, can you tell me where I can get the book that folks have signed in the past. I hope that alot of the east coast members that have not made it to the other picnics will get to come to this on. I know that you will be busy in Salem, but any advise you can give us on making this a sucess, well we'd be happy to hear from you! We will be in Salem for sure. Thanks Paul
Paul & Lynn Beth and I will be there for sure. I can bring the X-Camino up the week before, you can park it wherever you want. I plan on leaving it with you for the winter, if your offer of inside storage is still good. That would be one less thing to worry about. Duane
That's great to hear, I think that your yellow x will have company. I believe that baseball Sam's old X that is owned by Chris Jones will be here also. See you in Sept Paul
No his Yellow X is owned by Chris Jones from Allentown. He just had it a the Eastern Concours, and is going to the AACA Grand National in NY in July. Hope you can make it in Sept. Marco Paul
I guess Sam had a couple - Story Here. No promises yet Lynn and Paul - we'll see what happens...Thanks!
Marco, I just talked to Paul and he said Chris Jones car is Basketball Sam, is this the same guy? Lynn
I guess so. I remeber seeing this car at the GS National, the first year that we had our GS there. He had told us about his aqua mist Gs that he had. This was the first time that we had meet him. Chis has done well showing this car, winning AACA Junior, Senior and this year winning the AACA National First place for Best Post War Buick. A beautiful car! I hope that you and the family can make it in Sept. If you need a place to stay my home is always open! Talk to you soon Lynn and Paul
Hey East Coast Guys, I applaud you for having a getogther but there are other things going on in the Midwest, if you/we consider ourselves the Midwest going on the weekend of Sept 17th and 18th. The Pure Stock Race at Mid-Michigan Motorplex and Midwest Challenge September 17, 18 & 19, 2004 US 41 International Dragway 8695 W. County Road 50 S. Morocco, Indiana 47963 Sponsored by the Chicagoland Chapter of the GSCA. So don't look for too many of us Midwest folks to be there, we will be there in spirit, but that's about all we can do! RV
