Has anyone heard of these engines? I got a quote for $1500 with a $300 core rebate for my 350 in my skylark. Is this a bad idea? Seems like a good deal to me.

    Thanks:Do No:

  2. Very cheap. I would venture a guess and say it is worth what you pay for it. Such a low price will probably indicate the cheapest possible parts were used in the rebuild, and maybe the cheapest possible labor also.

Yep!!! I can vouch for that.:Dou: Used to have to re-do alot of Autozone and/or Advance Auto cylinder heads. Junk....

Cheapest of the cheap is right.

Reground valve stems (that's right...stems) .015" under and valve guide liners for THAT particular stem. They didn't even do all 16 the same!!:error: :Do No:

From what I understand, their liability on warranty is only $400 or so. That basically covers any repair they have to pay for. You get diddly for labor lost too.

    Be afraid....very afraid.

For $1500, you should be able to get yours completely rebuilt. Forget core charges.
