This will fit both the 401 and 425 nailhead engines. The setup was removed in the 70's from a '65 Buick Riviera Gran Sport and in dry storage since. The intake manifold is number 1370316. The intake manifold has no cracks or damage and all of the mounting holes are in excellent shape. The carburetors are the orginal units. The front carburetor has a part number of 3645SB and the rear carburetor has a part number of 3925SA. Everything moves freely on both carburetors. This is a well preserved and unmolested original setup. I do not have the linkage or the aircleaner. I can email photo's on request.

Asking $750 or best offer plus shipping. You can PM me or email me at rluchene@mindspring.com. My phone number is 919-971-2074. Thanks - Ron<!-- google_ad_section_end -->

Hey guys. I've been responding to emails and had not checked back here so I missed the postings. The unit has been sold. Thanks!

Did you read the rules for posting items for sale?? It appears that you might not have done so. :spank::spank:
Whoever bought this item without first posting interest in this thread is just as guilty.:spank::spank::af::af:

    Here's the link:

Here it is copied and pasted:

Guy's, Let's Review The Rules Before Posting Ads!!

We're finding way too many out of control ads in this section. I'm getting quite a few complaints from members about car part outs. Please review all the information below.

In the past, an "honor system" has been used in the parts and cars for sale forums. This policy has existed since the board's inception but recently it has been pointed out that violations of this policy have occurred, so this post is intended to clarify the policy, and remove all questions concerning it. As of the effective date above, this policy will be strictly enforced.

Our policy dictates that if you list a part or car for sale, you will in good faith adhere to the following:
Post a price for the item being offered.

Post a location of the item.

Work with the interested parties to complete the sale, in the order that they showed interest in your item.

This interest must be shown with a public reply to your thread. Personal Messages (PM's) or emails are not acceptable communication requirements for "getting in line" to purchase an item.

We suggest 48 hours as an acceptable time period to allow interested parties to contact you privately.

If the first user who responds to your ad does not complete the sale, you move onto the second person who responded, and so on and so forth down the list, until the item is sold. This list is dictated solely by the public replies to your ad.

You will not accept other offers or negotiate outside of these guidelines.

You will not refuse to sell the item to anyone, for any reason, unless a moderator or the board administrator is involved and Ok's the denial.

A "zero tolerance" policy is in place for users who fail to adhere to the guidelines, and appropriate action will be taken. Investigation of such situations will be handled by me, the board owner and administrator. Click my username in the upper LH corner of this post to send me a PM regarding any such situation.

The V8 Buick.com classifieds are intended for the use of our established members, and are free to these individuals. Car dealers and parts resellers may be subject to an advertising fee. Contact me for further details.

Thank you for your attention, and good luck on your sale.

It would be interesting to see which V8buick member snuck in the back door. I think the buyers here should know the rules also, and I bet he did thats why he used the e-mail. I smell 2 rats.......

As a moderator, I'm very interested in what response Ron can come up with. As was stated by others in this post, we don't work that way here.

    A local person bought it.

Don't assume a member of this board snuck in the back door--this was also listed on the BCA board and the ROA board.

Raises the question, when something is posted for sale here, and also elsewhere, should it be noted it is for sale in other venues? Not everything posted here is an exclusive listing!

    Gentlemen,

I have traded multiple emails with Jim Lore on the subject. I was not fully aware of the policies here when I posted the ad. The part was posted on the AACA Forums as well but the individual who purchased it stated he saw the ad here. I do not know if he was a member of this forum or not. I thought I was acting in good faith by responding to folks in the order in which they reached out to me. I apologize for violating the rules something I told Jim I was not characterized by. It will not happen again.

That is a good question. What is the ruling on that? If it is listed here, should it be an exclusive listing to V8?

Perhaps this covers your query. :Do No:

If not, then perhaps modifying the rules governing for sale ads might be in order. If an item is listed on other boards, then say so, and post the link. :Smarty: We've all seen ads stating "Item is also for sale locally".

How about not being able to list your e-mail address as a source of contact in the thread.

Ron, sounds like a honest mistake. As a rule of thumb I always include in my adds if I have it listed on another website, e-bay etc. If you don't mind me asking, who bought the parts? Chris

    Thanks for understanding guys!

Chris - The guy that purchased the part was named Jerry. I do not know his last name. He lives about an hour from me and we met half way yesterday. When he initially called, he stated that he saw the part for sale on this forum. I do not know if he was a member or not. I was working with Mark at the time and told Jerry I would contact him if things with Mark fell through. Since he was the second guy to reach out to me I thought I was acting in good faith by selling the part to him.

As Brian G eluded to above, having personal contact info in my ad made it easy for members and non-members alike to reach out to me. What I have grown to appreciate through this experience is that the By/Sell section is intended to be a service for the members here and not just another resource for me as a seller to use. I agree that the personal contact info should be left out of future ads. It protects the rules governing this forum and allows members to buy and sell in an enviroment that promotes the value of being a member here.

    Ron
