Jim, My buddy decided to go with a 4 speed, so I will keep the3 speed Muncie for a backup & conversation piece. When you have a little time would you mind sharing any general 3 speed manual info for me? Didn't know if this was from a granny shift Skylark or floor shift car but know they were not very common. Sure was nice getting to spend some time with you & the guys Friday : )
Around that time I think only GS Buick cars had a floor shift 3 speed option. I do not remember the donor car or how I ended up with it.
Thanks Jim, okay maybe I can find the vin stamped on the edge of the trans and figure out a little bit more . Thanks buddy : )
"Around that time I think only GS Buick cars had a floor shift 3 speed option". Oh to the contraire Jim... waaay back when, George N and I purchased aN ORIGINAL, 70 LARK Special 4 door, 6 cyl, THREE SPEED on the column, and I still have the 3 speed column to prove it!!! Talk about conversation piece!!!
He was distracted thinking how many Washingtons he can get out of me for that 3 speed "coin" I think I have paid his mortgage at least twice now lol
Dennis wouldn't part with that coin for me when I needed it for my original 3spd manual GS455 car. So I'm going to say he most likely won't part with it. Rare part.
Come to think of it I think I took one out of one of my four speed consolettes, yehhhhh pretty sure I did! Big question is where is it now! Lol
