Its a 1239925-1 cast iron intake. Perfect for putting that 72 Stage back to original! Dated B-17 . It has provisions for the A.I.R. , no EGR valve. That means its correct for automatic cars, NOT delivered to California. Manual trans cars and Cali delivered cars would need the EGR to be correct. $150 + shipping. From a 72 Stage 1 , but its also correct for a 455 auto non-Stage 1. Thanks .

Here's a few quick pictures. It's really one of the nicer manifolds I've seen. The correct one I ended up with for my car needed to be degreased, hot tanked, sandblasted and have all the threads chased. It looks great now, but with alot of time and money invested. I wish it was this nice to start with.

Do some 72 intakes not have an air provision? What would a non air 71 stage1 from Ohio have?

I don't know if some 72s came without A.I.R provisions or not. I ASSUME they all had it. BUT.... some had the EGR as well, others did not. This is WITHOUT E.G.R provisions from a 1972 Stage 1. I don't have any info about 1971 intakes .Sorry!:Do No:

I guess I should have listed it as an intake manifold FROM a 1972 Stage 1???:Do No: Yes, its correct for more vehicles than that as it is not a specific Stage part. Thanks!:beers2:

I believe all 72 455 intakes have the "air" provision.

I don't know where to find the build date of the motor, but the trim tag should have the month and week of your build. That would get you into the ballpark if you know that. Number then letter. Mine is a 12-C Month Dec , 3rd week.

A lot of the 72 motors have the date code cast into the lifter galley area. You need to take off the intake to see it.

found it it is G-6. would that be july-6?
and would the intake have to be made in the same month or could it be any month before july,as long it is 72?

All the cast iron pieces (block, heads, intake, exhaust manifolds) should have dates no further then 2 weeks apart.

Interested if still for sale. Been looking for AIR manifold with no EGR which is correct for 72 Federal car with Automatic. What would shipping be to 48067? You wouldn't happen to have any of the AIR parts?
