I just installed the Global West Negative Roll upper A-Arms, B-Body spindles, '88-'92 1LE F-body rotors and '70-'76 F-body calipers on my '71 Skylark.

I got a set of ceramic pads from the parts store, and I noticed that there is a pair of self-adhesive shims included in the box.

How do I use these? Do they go on the inboard or outboard pad? I've changed disc brakes on other cars but I've never seen shims like this.

Also, the little metal clips that scrape on the rotor to squeal when the brakes are nearly worn out, do they go on the leading egde of the pad, or the trailing edge?

    Scott,
The shims go on the outboard pads, just make sure you align them correctly. The wear sensor goes towards the back of the pad.
