Can anyone tell me what the heck this part (the red metal part) is for? It's been on my car since I got it 24 years ago but I have no Idea what it does. It's been bolted to the aircleaner support and sticks back towards the carb. I've shown it next to one of the spark plug wire retainers. Do I need this thing?
Yeah I'm thinking it's something I don't need but I'm the only person to ever pull the motor out of this car and I didn't put this on. Besides it's pretty small. It's just been sitting on the intake loosely bolted to the aircleaner support. I can't see any use for it but If it's there to hook a spring to or something I might keep it.
Cool, one less part I have to have powder coated....and think of the weight savings!!! Maybe now I can pull the front wheels!!!!! NOT!!!! Thanks guys!!!!!
