I've got several tranny leaks including the speedometer housing and the pan. (and others) I've heard that the speedo housing gasket is hard to find. Will this kit provide the speedo housing gasket(s) and all the other external gaskets needed to fix my leaks? My Turbo 400 is the original 1970 unit. https://www.ebay.com/itm/324180834179
I would use a rubber (neoprene) pan gasket not the cork. Be sure to examine pan flange to make sure its flat all the way around by holes especially. I thought speedo seal was an oring?

Why do these guys always talk too much? Video could be 5 minutes tops.
It's the original seal but, after replacing the drive gear to to correct for speedo error, it has leaked and gets worse as time goes by. How do I fix it?
See above post. Not hard but could be messy. (Dexron shampoo) The part numbers are visible in the video. GM 15562374 for the large sleeve O ring, looks like a pack of 5. GM 1240382 for the smaller shaft seal.
One of the problems is the shift shaft getting rusty, then the rust messes up the seal. Now replacement shafts are available. The plastic speedo driven gear can be so worn, it does not touch the seal anymore. Possibly a second seal could be put in to contact another spot, but I just replaced the gear. Bruce Roe
