I need an original exhaust manifold flange off of 401 nailhead engine. This is the flange that is loose around the exhaust pipe where it mounts to the exhaust manifold. The correct nailhead one has holes for 7/16" mounting bolts and the big hole in the middle for the pipe is 2-3/8". I have tons of the smaller ones off of 300 engines, but they won't work on this because the hole in the middle is only 2-1/8".

I attached a picture of the one I have--need another just like this. I have the money waiting if someone has a parts car they can cut one off of.

Brian, seen your posts and have been looking for the one or two I though I had. No luck yet. Do you think a 455 is the same? If I find one I will let you know. Thanks Bill.

I am not sure if it is the same as the 455 or not--I am not familiar with the 430/455 engines--all of my Buicks are '66 and older. I posted a picture of one of the flanges in my thread under "parts wanted" That might help in determining if it is the same as the 455 flanges.

Did you contact Gardner Exhaust? They repo them for their systems, but I don't know if they sell they seperately.
I looked in an old Walker Exhaust catalog and matched this one up:

    pn 31862
    2- 3/8" ID
    3-11/16" bolt spacing
    7/16" bolt holes

I couldn't find a pic of it anywhere, but both
    www.rockauto.com
    and
    www.partsamerica.com
have them listed. One shows application for 68-72 Olds 442.
Partsamerica is the site for Advance Auto....there's a store in Mocksville.
    Hope it works.
