I'm almost to the end of restoring my 66 GS convertible. I pulled the original 401 and 2 speed trans. and will be installing a rebuilt 425" with a turbo 400. The engine has a set of heads from Carmen with larger valves and a mild cam. I'll be running a quadrajet . The rear is a 3:55 posi. I'd like to install a 2 1/2" exhaust which would bolt to the stock exhaust manifolds. Does anyone sell the complete system? I don't want to make a lot of noise, just more power!

Sounds like a good swap. Basicly I am doing the same thing with my 65 GS.
I am proud that you stuck with the nailhead. You will like the 3 speed trans.
I also put in a switch pitch th 400, but I put all b&m stuff in it. I wish I had a 3.55 gear. I am jealous.
First thing, check with Summit , I think they can fix you up. Best stuff for the least money ect. or Postons buick parts. May be PAW.
I am running a holley 1050 cfm 3bbl carb on mine with a cold air pkg.
Be sure to port match the intake and exausts.
I cant find mufflers that I like so I just make mine. I can make a low restriction one for less than 20 bux. I make them out of 1/4 " steel so they last for a long time. Big inlets and big outlets. easy to do. :Brow:
