i have had a exhaust nightmare. i am now looking for a company (either NAPA, midas, etc) that can sell me and EXACT repacement dual exhaust for my 1973 riviera. i need mufflers and all. thanks. john
John, I was looking through Hemmings and in the Buick parts & services for sale theres an add for THEPARTSPLACEINC.COM), Add says has most systems in stock,with resonators etc. If that doesn't work let me know and I'll check with Carmen Faso He'll know if anything is available. Dan
the parts place inc. does not seem to sell stuff for the riv. any other suggestions? i am already $700 in the hole with no exhaust. john
John, I assume you have asked Mr. Peas down there on Depot St? I know 73 is getting a little new for him but he might have something? Kanter Auto says they do all systems up to 74 including Riviera. Carmen seems to think Napa can help you out also. There are a lot of good exhaust guys out there who could bend one up for you. does TA not stock riv exhaust? are there no exhaust shops around that you would trust to custom bend an exhaust?
I have bought four (4) bone-stock 69 Buick repro exhaust systems (pipes, mufflers, and resonators) from Kepich Exhaust in Fort Myers, Florida. (941) 267-2550. They fit perfectly. The owner says he makes the exhaust systems that a bunch / most of these aftermarket / restoration places sell. Problem is, he may not take credit cards anymore cause most of his business is selling to the big companies. Still, it may be worth it to call Kepich up and see how much he would charge direct. Maybe he takes credit cards now; it's been a while since I stopped by. -- Steve
i have a solution. there is a guy my father met (that is near his work) that does alot of custom exhaust work. he bends the systems there in his shop. i am going to get a 2 1/2 inch system that is aluminumized for around $400-$450 with mufflers. we will see. thanks for all of your help. i think that i am going to give the other system to my father for his GS. but it has N-25 bumper and what can i do about the reg. tailpipes for a GS fitting the N-25 bumper? i do not think that anyone makes the tailpipes for the N-25 system. john
