Exhaust backfire even cylinders only

    My exhaust pops out of the even cylinders aka passager side could it be my cam?

    Have you checked your wires? Firing order?

    Pull plugs see if they are black or wet.

    Yes it is correct 18436572 and everything is brand new

    You might have one bank running super lean? When you say back fire, do you mean a random misfire?

    check carb gaskets/vac lines for leaks, ensure distributor parts are properly assembled

    Not sure how just the even cylinders would be misfiring unless the OP has a single plane intake

    1972Mach1 Just some M.M.O.G. guy.....

    Intake leak on passenger side only, maybe? With it idling spray some carb clean or brake clean where the intake meets the head and if idle changes you have an intake leak.

    Black or wet plugs is a sign of not firing or too much fuel.

    If the exhaust is popping out of the right side pipe, that doesn't necessarily mean its the right bank. Give us some details on what kind of engine its, carb, etc. Points? electronic ignition? Condition of tune up parts- cap rotor wires, plugs? Have you tried adjusting the mixture?

    All plugs where wet the person who built the motor gaped them for hei ignition

    Should have atleast improved how it runs

    Yes it fixed the problem but iwasnt able to reuse the old ones had to spend 50$ for all new plugs
