    Interesting. I can't quite put my finger on it, but it has that 70's "Do the Hustle" vibe to it.

    Looks like it’s based on the Toronado

    Article says it was built from a 1967 Riviera with a 430.

    Basically Riv GS drivetrain..3.42 gears.....I guess they bought a new GS as soon as they came out and went at it. Says it was completed in late 1967.....Cool how they used the Riv gauges and even the shifter.

    I don't see the Toronado fender arches.....maybe headlights tho....

    Actually the fenders look like lengthened Corvette fenders

    I like either the Riviera or the Toronado better. JMO. BTW, spel-check wanted to replace Toronado with Tomado or Coronado. I found that Tomado is Spanish for "taken."

    Other than too much copper & brass (not a surprise given who commissioned it ) I like it.
