Excessive blowby, exhaust smoke?

    Excessive blowby, exhaust smoke on acceleration
    One very black sparkplug.

    I'll say pistonrings :mad:
    Just about broken in at 700 miles, but I guess they are just broken

    Any other suggestions?

    Time to pull the motor again I think, 3rd time in 6 weeks :af:

    At least I'll get to retorque the bottom end and check the bearings

    Molly hone w/ cast rings. vice versa. sounds like it won't break in.

    Didn't have any problems previous 700 miles.

    Turns out it was a headgasket.
    Lucky me pulled the motor before taking the intake off :Dou:
    I checked the rings anyway, but they look fine.

    Just hopes the new cheapo gasket will hold until winter.

    Guess it's time to find a new mechanic, I suggested headgasket, he said no way, it's the rings :blast:

    Problem is back. This time it's the other bank.
    Last it was #4 this time #3
    Must be some crappy headgaskets I got with faulty firerings.

    Stay away from ROL gaskets :Smarty:
