This is all fine and good. I would like to make this a COD. Call me
old-fashioned, but I never buy anything untill I am actually standing in front
of it. I am close to both Ontario and Los Angeles international airports. If you
would like to save on shipping costs by sending it by cargo ship then that is
also fine. I am close to the port of Long Beach as well. As far as the deposit
of $2000.00 is concerned, I am willing to put the full purchase price of the car
into an escrow account that you may withdraw it from as soon as I take delivery
of the car. You still have not answered my question about the Corvette that you
had for sale last week. I really wanted that car. Do you ever intend to respond
to my original question? If so, then I have a couple more. Why did you fail to
respond to my emails about purchasing that car? Also why were your previous ebay
auctions pulled and how did your previous user I.D. become "not a
registered user" anymore? These sort of unanswered questions make me a bit
nervous about the kind of person that I am dealing with here. I would think that
you would want me to gain your trust, especially if you are to want me to send
you any money in advance before the shipment of the car arrives.

I thought about that one but unfortunately I don't know anyone who is over there right now.
Besides, I wouldn't want to involve anyone that I know in messing with this lousy con operator.
I'm more interested in wasting their time and giving them a false sense of hope by playing on their greed and stupidity. :laugh:

I have reached the conclusion that I would prefer to have the Chevelle since it
comes with a back seat, which a Corvette does not have, that I can use for
driving my clients and customers around town in as well as getting busy in when
I take the car to the drive-in movies. Those all vinyl interiors sure are easy
to clean.
As I had previously stated to you, I do not normally pay for anything untill I
am actually standing in front of it so the idea of sendinding money thru western
union does not work for me.
How about we do this instead;
Suppose I fly over there to Portugal to conduct this transaction with you face
to face? That way I can not only stand in front of the item that I plan on
purchasing, I can actually climb in it, or under it and give it a complete
checking out.
We can even take it for a drive around town since you have already had the car
inspected. Don't worry, I have auto liability insurance that covers me in
anything that I drive no matter what or where it is. I will bring plenty of gas
money too, and I will even buy you lunch at a drive-thru if neccessary. Are there any
McDonalds, or even Burger King drive-thru's over there in Lisabo, Portugal? No
matter, we can find something tasty to eat that will also look good if it got
spilled onto the car's interior.
Since I am self-employed and own my own business, I have a travel allowance for
buisness trips. I can even write the whole trip off by claiming it as a tax
deduction as a neccessary business expense.
Once I am satisfied that the car looks and performs as you have advertised, then
I will pay you fully in cash. We can then drive the car to the airport where I
will watch it get loaded on the plane for the trip home.
If this sounds agreeable to you then please let me know as soon as possible so
that I may start making my travel plans. Perhaps you could recommend to me the
finest five star hotel there and I will look into reserving a suite or villa
there.

I think it would be fun to send them chasing me to a hotel, that I really don't plan on checking into, and have them walk in there and ask for me.
They are sure to get around to asking for my phone number, that's what the Homer DePoe name is for.
When I get pressed for a phone number in which they want to talk to me on, I will give them the phone number to my local Home Depot store.
The best thing is that any worker at Home Depot who picks up the phone will say "Home Depot can I help you".
Immediately the jerk will think they are already talking to me.

Now I am really confused and somewhat bewildered.
After I have offered to meet with you face to face at your location, at my own
expense, to discuss the purchase of your vehicle you still insist on using
Western Union money transfer services for this transaction. This is what
confuses me. Why are you so adamant about them and their services? Are you
employed or somehow affiliated with them? Do you recieve some sort of commission
or discount through them for your referrals? I think an explanation should be in
order here and I will be eagerly awaiting one.
As I have stated previously, I will only purchase something after I have
actually seen it for myself. That is what I want, since you have asked me. I do
not ever buy anything sight-unseen. I am even willing to travel to great lengths
and great distances to personally look at something that I am genuinely
interested in obtaining. Why is that so difficult for you to understand?
I also find it a very strange that a man would have a name like Debbye. This is
what is bewildering to me. Over here in my country, "Debbye" is a name
given only to girls and is usually just a shortened version of
"Deborah". Are you aware of this? Is Debbye your given name that your
parents chose, or is it something that you came up with on your own later in
your life? Please tell me that you are not some fruity girly man, or worse yet,
a trans-sexual awaiting your trans-gender surgery. I'm not sure if I could
handle hearing that since I have had a bad experience dealing with one of them
before. It was not too long ago that a very good employee of mine had that
surgery done on him and the results were not very good. Now do not
mis-understand what I am saying here. I mean he looked gorgeous afterwards, as a
woman, but somehow you could just tell that she was converted over from a man. I
think it was the broad shoulders that killed the illusion. Making it even worse
for me was the fact that I knew him since she was a young boy. Anyways, all of
those female hormones suddenly churning inside a man's body were making her
very hard to handle. I could not deal with the constant mood swings or the
irritable behavior that came about once every month. They were disrupting to
both my customers and my staff. Reluctantly, I had to fire him/her as it was in
the best interests of my company and my other employees. Well, I got slapped
with a lawsuit over that. It seemed that he/she thought that they were
wrongfully terminated and, with the help of some high priced lawyers, tried to
convince a judge to agree. They did not win their case but it wound up costing

end of the bargain. That may be so but I do not know you from the man in the
moon. Do you regularly trust strangers, that you have just met online, so
competely that you would send them large sums of money with only mere words of a

I have another possible solution, I have just found out today that a business
associate of mine is over in Spain at this very moment. He is willing to drive
over to meet with you in Portugal at your earliest convienience to look the car
over for me. he is eager to help me out since he owes me a favor. I once caught
my secretary and him together all sprawled out on my desk in a quite passionate
embrace as I walked through the door of my office unexpectedly. I have never
told his wife about what I saw that day and I sometimes use that fact to
blackmail him into helping me out when I need it. How can we arrange a meeting
between the you and him? Obviously, he is very eager to assist me as soon as
possible. His name is Bob Evans and he is a very respectful individual, except
for his indescretion with my secretary. If you are, in fact, a trans-sexual or
something then do not worry because you are not his type. You will be completely
safe from any unwanted advances from him as he only has an incurable lust for
real women and I will inform him of your situation prior to his arrival. Do you
have a phone number there in Portugal that I can give him so that he may contact
you?
Will you please reply back to me as soon as possible. I would really hate to

How did this ever pan out? This sounds like some scams that were used for other big ticket items like big screen TV's. Ebay had a flood of these a while back.
