....with the right filter Had a barbecue the other day and a friend of mine took some pics of the cars resting. I'm no tech guy so don't know what filter he used but sent these to me. Thought they were pretty cool in a chemically enhanced kind of way ........
Cluttered?? Not even close! Its all done with smoke and mirrors pal! Actually, if these are digital pics, theres a brazillion effects that can be made to enhance or even change the colors or clarity to get the desired effects. Two clicks on the "blue" scale can make the sky look REALLY blue yet barely change the color of the green or white car. Sharpness and pixelization are a few others. Back in the day we used lense filters, 2X extenders, and tripods. Different speed films (ASA 60 or 400) can change the "graphic quality" and color range in an instant; well after a weeks' wait from walgreens photo dept LOL.. I never realized how much metallic was in the Rivs's and Muskrats' paint jobs! I like that green! ws
Thanks buddy! The Riv is straight up gloss black, except it does have pearl in the red, and the Mach 1 is a custom pearl green that started out as a 2001 Honda Accord color we modified so I'd have a good starting point for touch ups. I dig the flop of the colors associated with pearlescents over metallics.
Yeah, if you call that cluttered, I've got not only one but two garages that would haunt your dreams....
Just to make ya twitch Lucas, this is the cleanest that side of the barn has been in over a year! (Having a toddler will do that to ya....)
Nah, I'm Norwegian and Native American, mostly. And a Libra, although I know guys with the same birthday as me and we're nothing alike so I don't do the Sun and Moon stuff.....
Toddler, haha, wait til they get to teen yrs(telling you like they know anything), and then driving, oh my. You won't get anything done.
Looks good! Mine is a cluttered mess. Even worse I had a gallon of Lucas Oil Stabilizer that leaked out slowly and made a giant sticky mess. Open to clean up tips.
Thanks Mark . It's (somewhat embarrasingly) based on a 2001 Honda Accord pearl green so we would have a base starting point for later touch ups, but we modified the pearl content and pearl color. Took me forever to find the right green back then, buy our secretary where I worked back in 2000 ended up buying a brand spankin' new Accord and it was an ah ha moment. We tested colors on a Yamaha V-max I had at the time and nailed it first try, so I had two matching rides. The argent is stock but a base/clear.
