Alright gang, I'm in the process of putting everything back together on my 65 GS after a nice 2-year body-off. However, the motor was strong when I took the car apart, and decided to keep it the way it was until she breaks (only about 40k original miles on the 401). I have a 4-speed setup, along with the GS club headers into a 2.5" exhaust w/ x-pipe, and a 3.08 rear - I know, I know not exactly the best for performance, but it's great for highway. Otherwise, a stock setup... for track purposes I'll probably put an open air cleaner on. I was wondering - what ET should I be expecting? I'm guessing around mid to high 14's, perhaps even higher. Also, what would it take to get this car into the 13's? I would like to get into the 13's, without dismantling the motor, for I think it still has lots of life left. Any help is, as always, greatly appreciated.
