    Erl leak!!!!

This is really starting to P!$$ :af: ME OFF!!! I cannot get the front of the oil pan/timing cover to seal. It is really starting to put a dent in my enjoyment of the car. BIG F@#*ING DENT!!!! I've tired silly cone, felpro gasket, Fel pro and silly cone, and even an A$$ load of silly cone. Im about fed up with the whole thing!!!

It is not a small drip, it coats the whole engine and then leaves a nice puddle under the car. Im out of ideas,:Do No:, besides a new TA cover and a new pan... And that would mean another 6 months w/o drivint the POS. I have missed the entire crusin season, and legal street racing season.

    Help!!! Im stumped... :Dou:

Are you entirely sure it's coming from that seal?

    Main seal? Oil pump seal?

Yes I am... I can clean everything off and warm the car up and that is where it starts dripping from.

How many quarts of oil do you use?

There are many places on the front it could be leaking.

    Fuel Pump to front cover?

    Front cover to block?

Front cover to oil pan (did you let the silly cone setup?) try adjusting the lip of the pan with a Ford tool or are the front cover holes stripped? Use a bolt from the outside with a nut on the inside

    Oil Pump cover?

    Oil filter?

    Front seal behind balancer?

    Distributor hole?

    Hope this helps

Are you sure its not the balancer seal??

    Check flatness of sealing surfaces.

Don't use "silly cone". If you need to use something, use "The Right Stuff". This stuff is awesome! Nothing like "silly cone", more like an O-ring in a tube.

How many quarts of oil do you use? 5qts

Fuel Pump to front cover? Nope

    Front cover to block? Nope

Front cover to oil pan (did you let the silly cone setup?) try adjusting the lip of the pan with a Ford tool or are the front cover holes stripped? Yes and helicoiled the holes and torqued to spec.

    Oil Pump cover? Nope

    Oil filter? Nope

Front seal behind balancer? Nope, new TA seal.

I can watch it run put between the t-cover and erl pan. Have not tried the "Right Stuff" yet. But looks like it will be my next option.

If I were to get a new pan what would ya'll recommend???

If their are no pin holes or small cracks and the gasket surfaces are clean and flush and the gasket is not already crushed tighten the bolts and if they strip use a nut and bolt and tighten but don't completely crush the gasket.

If that does not do it then you need either a new pan or front cover maybe both.

I use the Fel Pro cork oil pan gasket and only use a small dab of silicone next to the rear main seal (one on each side) and where the oil pan and front cover meet (where the oil pan rail bends). If you have a multi-piece oil pan gasket use a dab where the gasket ends attach like puzzle pieces.

    Good Luck
