Hey everyone I just needed an opinion on engine dressup. I'll be buying a chrome air cleaner from k&n, probably the 14x4 and they have 2 listed under that size but I will be getting the one that will clear the electric choke on my 4 barrel edelbrock. Other than that I will be getting my valve covers chromed. I also wanted to get braided hoses. In the summit catalog they offer some kits for $30. In the kits u get 3 ft for vacuum hose, 4 ft for fuel line, 12 ft heater hose, and 4 1/2 ft of radiator hose. My buick is a short drive away but with school and work I only get over there about once a month so I cant check. Has anyone ever used one of these kits? Anyone have any opinions on if this is enough length of feet for these lines? Or should I buy more length on everything (more expensive). Thanks for any advice on this.

There are adapters for 2bbl carbs to make a 4bbl air cleaner fit. Most speed shops should carry them.....maybe even Auto Zone.

Might be tempted to buy a drop-base air cleaner for that 4" element....you wouldn't want to be stuck without any hood clearance. I myself have not tried one out yet. Here is my setup -

and the funny thing is, I don't have any idea how tall that filter is.

    anyone?
