First of all, I hope I am posting in the correct area. Secondly, it is difficult to describe the problem. But here goes. I have a 1995 Chevy 350 Silverado. When the engine is warm and shut it off it is difficult to restart. For example running an errand, go to restart idle is rough and takes a lot of cranking to get it restarted. Starts, stops, barely starts, then stops, and after much starting, stopping it will finally run. Unfortunately, my diagnostic equipment consists of replacing parts. I have put a new fuel filter.

    Any thoughts? HELP

I've had this problem before on a 97 suburban. Turned out to be the EGR valve. When it got warm, everything just sort of took a dump and I had trouble keeping it running, but before it got warm, it'd run like it was supposed to. Hope to helps.

    Joe.

    Joe,

You were right! Had my son replace EGR valve and the shop truck runs great, for an engine with 250,000 miles on it. Thanks for your help!!
