I just got finished running my numbers engine that I rebuilt for my 70GS. It has TA stage 1 heads, Lunati 33303 (.500/.500 lift 235/245 duration, 116 lobe sep),TA Teflon cam bearings, ignitor III ignition and new timing cover. Tim from TA calculated it as a 10:1 comp. It ran great during the break-in, but then developed a loud tick. Shut it down and one of the adjustable pushrod locknuts came loose. Tightened it up and it was great. Oil press at idle speed (950RPM) was 40ish. I thought it would of been lower. Not complaining but after 20 mins at 2000 I thought the oil should be full hot. I plan on idle about 900ish. Will it go a little lower when in under load in the car? I have standard pump with blueprinted gears and TA modified booster plate and 10-40 conventional oil for the first oil (with Lucas Zinc/break-in additive).

This was my first engine and I enjoyed building it (my wallet didn't)! My car comes out of paint tomorrow so I may get to enjoy it this year!!
