Secondary well plugs leaking or fuel flowing back to tank via windowed needle & seat or non check valved fuel filter.

The bowl empties in 3 ways.

    Leaking bottom plugs

    Draining back/syphoning out.

    Evaporation.

The draining back issue can be eliminated by leaving the tiny clip off the needle, or using a solid fuel inlet seat. I much prefer the windowed high flow seats, so leaving off the little clip is preferred.

Leaking bottom plugs are a common problem. Most builders seal them up with fuel resistent epoxy. We still see some leakers, if screw in plugs weren't used coated with Marine Tex or Devcon.

Modern fuel evaporates quickly, and it's vapor and boiling points are pretty low.

You still should get a week to 10 days in hot weather before the bowl is pretty much empty. 2-3 days indicates leaking back, leaking down, and/or evaporation.......Cliff
