I bought a new aftermarket switch for my 71 GS, and it's identical to the original switch except that it has a total of seven pins for electrical connectors while the original only has four. I was told that this is definitely the correct switch for the car, but I'm wondering why the difference? The dash harness was out of the car when I got it, and I haven't studied the new harness to see how it might hook up yet. I don't know that the old switch is bad, just decided to be safe and go with new.
