    I currently have a Manuel Choke Q-jet (7040244) for a 1970 Buick 350.

If I wanted to get a Rebuilt Q-jet with an Electric Choke at a local parts store, what year, make and model would I need to buy which would run properly on my Buick 350?

    Example: Would I look for a Q-jet on a 1976 Skylark 350 Buick?

    Thanks in advance!

Well, if you use a stock 350 qjet from70-74, you can buy the $60 electric choke kit from www.carbsunlimited.com

OR you can get a smogger 76 carb from a 350, and you'll need another electric choke kit from the same website I just mentioned. I used this option on my 71 LeSabre last year and it was a bit of a pain to make work. Although, it's more of a bolt-on choke conversion than the $60 option.

I would buy the $60 kit and use your current qjet.

    Thanks Adam.

I did not even take the Emisson Laws into consideration.
I'll look at the Electronic Choke Kit as an option.

BTW.....Has anyone had hear about the Holley Street Avenger that has been bolted on a Buick 350?

    Thanks again!
