Hey, everyone. I used to have a gold 1970 Electra 225 coupe and I now have a green 1970 Electra 225 Limited coupe. I've been looking around trying to find out what options the 'Limited' designation includes and I haven't had much luck. The only differences I've found between the two cars are that the Limited has front disc brakes, brocade-stitched interior and thicker rear springs. And it doesn't have factory A/C (it's got one of those old Windsor units that looks like a baseboard heater) while the other Electra did have factory A/C. If anyone knows what makes a Limited limited then I'd sure like to find out. Thanks, James
It's mostly the seats, and some years the door panels, and carpets. In 1970, it was the seats. Disc brakes were not part of the Limited package.
The Electra 225 had a front bumper emblem with the triangular tri shield , the Limited had a special square insert in the front emblem, another difference between the two models. The front bumper emblem for the Limited is very Rare, they were usually replaced with the standard emblem with the tri-Shield. Jim Schilf palbuick
