Use Edelbrock 1403 and 1404. 500 cfm for stock engines and the 1405 1406 600 cfm for engines with a cam or peformance upgrades. The manual choke carb is for the front and is the secondary. The idle circuits must be eliminated. turning the mixture screws all the way will not work. Choke flap must be removed and the shaft holes plugged or leave the shaft in place with the flap missing.

Are the log manifolds aluminum and are they able to be polished? They are setup for a 2gc rochester

An aluminum 4 bbl manifold will look fantastic on my 425 pickup. I would love to have it installed when I take the truck out this spring. Honestly, what are the chances?

Intake raisers for Buick Nailheads: How do they work?

    Hi there..

First of all, I have to admit I'm a totally "newbie" when it comes to "tuning" a N/A car like my Buick Riviera ( I've mostly worked with Turbochargers and EFI systems).

Could you be so kind to explain to me ( short) the theory of "added" torque and HP by installing your Intake raisers? I don't doubt you, I just don't get WHY that would result in added HP/Torque ?

And lastly, will these give me "clearance issues" if fitted to a stock 66 Riviera ( thinking of Carb/hood issues)
Or are they primarely designed for Hot Rod's?

Hope you can help me giving me some answers.. Again I apologize , for my lack of understanding( but I'm learning) :)

    Sturla

Actually its 600 cfm carbs for stock engines. Dual carb setups came with 625 cfm stock from the factory.

    Hi Marty,
Seriously - I really want an aluminum 425 nailhead 4bbl manifold. As soon as you have one in stock I would appreciate a PM. I will send whatever form of payment
that you want immediately. I would love to have #1 on my pickup.

    This.

Priced at $89 I think these risers would be a great bolt on and I'm ready to throw money at it IF there was a better explanation of how it all works on the website? I mean.. my technical knowledge about physics is nonexistant, so as far as I know it's like buying that fuel-tornado thing. (well that's an extreme exaggeration-- but surely you guys get the point?)
