Just to let you all know that we had a bad experience with this buyer. On Jan.8th. I had BuickTrainee put some things on Ebay (since I don't have an account)and they were the high bidder on a 68 GS 4 speed column.Since they won,we have emailed them a few times and even contacted Ebay.Ebay hasn't been able to reach them and we haven't heard nothing back.We posted negative feedback but it looks like this butth@le will be stiffing us.
I don't know if they are a V8 member but if they are they should be ashamed of themselves.I am a guy that believes that your word is as good as you are and I will not tolerate this type of thing.I even recently had a v8 member stiff me for a part that was advertised on the parts for sale and now miraculously he can't remember me.He even went as far as deleting the post so now it won't show up.But,there was 1 thing that wasn't done.I still have the pm that was sent to me from this individual. If by chance there seems to some confusion.I apologize to him.I am just so mad that I needed to vent this out. I am starting to lose my faith in some Buick guys, but then its guys like Brett Slater,Todd Lewis,Dave Dixon,Scott Miller and several upstanding guys on here that keep the faith renewed.I have bought several items on here and even given away a few things too but sometimes some take you for granted.I hope that I can get these issues solved but until then I guess I'll just have to let this guy do the speaking for me. Thank You I'm Done!

    dualqwad ...just another lost soul

If you've filed a "non-paying bidder" alert then Ebay will refund your fees and you can re-list it.
You can also put a block on any bids from him in the future.
Hopefully you didn't already ship the part before you got payment.

Pat good luck with that guy. I am having trouble with a Tim Harding out of Thornton Co. he goes by shloveth
on ebay. He used a buy it now on my auction, Over a month ago, and when I emailed him to get his address for shipping costs, he emails me and tells me he has no money and if I could wait a week. Well I waited 2 weeks, no money, emailed again, he says lost my address, will send check out, I email again and he says that check is probably lost in mail and could I give him my address again because his PC crashed!!! Well its close to 5 1/2 weeks still no money, BUT his is bidding on other buick items.
Dont know if he is a member of board or not, but he is not good that is for sure. There I vented, sorry to hijack your thread. If no money received my this week, I will notify the other groups and also notify the people that he has items bid on!!

Eic, you have good and bad anywhere. As Pat said in the original post, he even got stiffed by a board memeber. Heck, even though I get stiffed on Ebay at times, ratio wise I got stiffed there less than I do here by members.

    Such is life.

We should keep a list of deadbeats on here so everyone with ebay auctions can cancel their bids.

I've had good luck with eBay on buying, and as far as selling they now have a second chance thing for the seller in case you run into a dead beat to contact the other bidders, AL

That is unfortunate. It's too bad there are people like this-Ebay is supposed to be a fun opportunity to try to get an item that isn't normally available, and doing business with someone that has integrity and honesty is 99% of the deal.

I wish you guys luck with this individual and hope he comes through with his part of the deal.

I think the Buyer/Seller Feedback forum does a good job of that already:) It may be hard to keep one list of deadbeats updated enough to mke it effective.

Yes,that is true, but someone gets burned by one of these people and it's a hard lesson to take.

    I agree

Access to a quick list of DEADBEATS (here or ebay) would be extremely helpful.:bglasses:

Maybe a sticky thread at the top of the forum? We may have to go and dig up some older names from the board to get a good list going...

It does seem that lots of folks want a list started up.:Do No:
