Member id partskid123 & comcastpartskid from aurora IL are one in the same. he tried to play a fast one on me. So with a little detective work I figured out he was trying to play me. He had a listing http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270718352224&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT for a wheel I needed for a job. I asked him to recalculate the shipping and or I would offer him $150 on the wheel and send a UPS slip to ship with so I would feel like the freight was a rip off. He then stopped any contact and then the same wheel under a different name came up.... http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=360352355296&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT With the same title and almost the same discription. So I went back to the first one and figured out he had closed the sale and put this on another ID of his and is trying to play some kind of game. I reported him and they probably wont do anything but I will feel better. I found another wheel now so its over but just watch out for people like this. He probably bids on his own stuff too.

BTW I also looked at his profile picture and its the same car with 2 different names. He didnt get anything by me this time......:Comp:

Ebay is full of them. And they have clowns running the place too.

Did you hear that they're going to start charging a final value fee on shipping too now? Its an effort to keep shipping cost down for the buyers. I am so done with Ebay

    GStage1 Always looking for parts!

I just got that notice from Ebay a few days ago......they keep tinkering with the system and it is driving people away and/or just irritating them......this is plain old stupidity on their part.

And what does the final shipping fee have anything to do with the item....stupid.

Better make that Clowns! Too many unscrupulous "buyers". The guy last week had 0 feedback and joined 3 days prior??? No contact by him/ her either. I relisted yesterday and another person with 0 feedback, even though I stated in the ad about cancelling bids. I would much prefer to sell it here to a board member and the new "high" bidder has met my reserve, already. Remember, I am a car "guy" , not some internet creep. I will post the item # under cars for sale here on the board. Regards, Upstaged in SW Michigan. Now I have to deal with E-bay to avoid their cost for the car that they are trying to bill me for.

Some eBay policy decisions don't seem to be well thought out...more like knee-jerk. Online auction concept good...needs other credible players. eBay needs competition...

As for the unscrupulous...they're in every kind of "business"...

Its aimed at the guy selling an item for 1.99 with a $20 excessive shipping fee. What does that have to do with a seller who charges exactly what Fedex charges them? Im one of thoese sellers. I try not to make a dime on shipping. I dont even charge for packaging or bubble wrap most of the time. So now I have to charge excessive shipping to compensate for the added commission

The bigger question I have is this. The photos are taken at a body shop and some of these parts are listed a new. Who's cars are not getting the new parts someone is paying for? Think about that.

I'm 30 minutes from Aurora, IL and most of it isn't a great area.
