Hello all. I recently got a complete Eaton 12 bolt posi from a board member (FasterPastor-cool guy). I want to double check that it is a 3 series (if it is a 4 series, that is cool too). The only numbers I can find are; ED-30140PMC. This number is on the non-ring side(no numbers on the ring flange). There is another carrier here, that may be for a truck, or a 2 series (if the other is a 3 series), I have no idea, numberrs: ED-30140PMC.

    Help anyone?

    Thanx.

EDB-30140 is the "140" carrier... 3 series 12 bolt chevy car.
Stock, most of the "140's I've disasassembled came with the 10-18 spider-side gear combination. OK for some uses, but not for extreme use, due to brittle spider gears. What's your intended use? 1.50-1.80 60 foot times on slicks or sticky tires, or hard useage behind a stick, the carrier needs upgrading.
