Was I dreaming or did I really hear that there was an earthquake north of Cleveland?

Kinda crazy to have a Quake that close to the Quake....:D:D:D

    Hope everyone's OK.

No you were not dreaming. A 4.2 magnitude earthquake happened at 10:50 on Monday morning just east of Cleveland. There was a large bang and it felt like a truck hit the house. You can google Eastlake Ohio earthquake and see all kinds of info. There was no damage or injuries that I have heard about. The one back in 1980’s was much longer and stronger.

Ppl dont think of ohio as a place to have them, but since they started keeping records of this stuff, 1776, ohio has had over 200 that record at least 2.0 or higher. That's almost 1 per year

I think there's gonna be some aftershocks Friday and Saturday in Salem, Ohio.

There were devastating earthquakes in the Mississippi River valley in 1811-12 the so called New Madrid earthquakes. Strange because it is in the center of the North American tectonic plate. Of course then, there was little to none man made structures to destroy. Today would be a different story.

I lived through the one in the 80’s and the one on Monday. I can’t wait to experience the ones that the Buick’s will create over the weekend. I wish everyone safe travels and I am looking forward to seeing everyone.

There was never an Earth Quake recorded in the last 100 years in Youngstown Ohio. Until they started fracking . In Pa. not allowed to dump the saltwater after pumping out of the ground in Pa. So they have to haul it to Youngstown and dump it all into a well. Since they started doing this . There have been hundreds of earth quakes in that area.
