I was told that the quadrajet needle and seat and fuel bowl aren't large enough to run e85 because of the e85 requiring almost double the fuel volume

Airfield mixture is about 30%richer. Double fuel? Doable and done. Just looking for one already put together

Just buy a TBI that works with E-85.

If you ever go Holley. Mark Sullens builds a great e85 carb.

I’ve never heard of an E85 QJet. That’s pretty darned cool.

We tune 30%ish more fuel on a EFI set up.

    It’s real cool with 11.8 :1 compression

    Nor have I.

The volume of the bowl is not an issue. Fuel delivery is. So, why not? We're talking about a ten second run?

Go big on needle/seat for max flow, the rest is up to the pump. When it comes to air/fuel metering, that's another task!

I had one on my dad's e85 car,..carb done pretty well,..BUT,..didn't have enough pump to keep the bowl full as Devon mentioned,...

I did cheat the bowl volume a little with as high as I could get float setting and hammered the brass flat little smaller,...every little bit helps

Unfortunately only 2 E85 stations within 60 miles around here.

I have a station 40 miles from me. I load two 55 gal race fuel drums in the back of the truck and take my wife out for dinner.
The gas always test at 85% even after several months.

Ours is only 78 rite now,..but still plenty to run my pops 13.5 to 1 mill and my turbo camaro,...the only issue is you gotta drain the bowls if it's gonna ne sitting or around alot of moist air
