Is there some kind of check valve inside the tourque converter. Reason I ask , I fill the tranny per the manual's recommendation ( 4-6 quarts) while its running and get the level to the right mark on the stick . When I turn off the motor and let it sit I am getting a serious leak ( Id guess at least a quart) at the front of the tranny. I've replace the seal around the pan , and torque the mounting bolt to the right specification. I was just wondering whether the torque converter is meant to fill up with fluid and keep it there .
    Thanks
