I was screwing around with the spare Dynaflow I have sitting in the shop. I disassembled the converter and removed it from the reaction shaft. I noticed that there's a quite a bit of play in the input shaft; it's able to slide in/out of the reaction shaft about 3/16in. I've never had a Dynaflow apart and don't know to much about them, however that doesn't seem right to me.

The trans was removed from a running '62 Electra, but the guy I got it from did take it apart and reseal it. I just wanted to make sure it was within specs before I install it in my '62.
