so im hoping my stock length pushrods work with the cam i purchased.when assembling the engine do i just set the pushrods in the lifters and bolt on the rocker arm/shaft assemblies?i guess if a lobe is pushing the lifter up at its highest point when i tighten the rocker assembly down it will be pushing the valve open as i tighten.it just seems weird i guess im used to those old small block chevies.any help on this is appreciated......

Do yourself a favor and get some adjustable pushrods. Lifter preload isn't something to guess about. You want it right the first time you start a motor. Put the adjustables in, and torque the pedestal bolts evenly to 25 ft. lbs. Then go through this adjustment procedure. 1/2-3/4 turn past 0 lash. Works for me.
