4300 isn't really that heavy. I don't know how much you have to spend, but you should get it stroked and bored. I wanted to do mine last year when I rebuilt my 425. I couldn't find anybody who could to do it for me. I think I read in one of the 'da nailhead' forums aabout a guy who does. If I had known about this website last year, I'd be rolling that Riv just a little bit faster. :Brow:

yeah i9 know thats what i wanted to do but by the time i got the info it was too late i already got the crank turned. so ill be running with the stock stroke but she should be quick anyway the cam im thinking of running is a t/a30 which is a 228/228 duration @ .050 and a .472/.472 lift hopefully it wont be too bad for the street i was talking to some people at t/a and they said it was a wild cam but im not gonna drive it everyday i just want to go out and rip apart a few ricers and cruise around a little a few days a week.

    Nailhead Dual Quad Setups

I have played with a few setups on Rivs. The QJets are getting rave reviews when built especially for your eng. specs. It takes someone who knows what they are doing too. Many people claim to be great at QJets, but I have not found many over the years. I love one when it is RIGHT, but most I have had aren't. Pulled a single AFB from my dad's '64 Riv. last summer and replaced it with an Ebay ripoff. He paid over $100 for factory intake with detailed rebuilt original carbs. Carbs were S#%*!! Finally gave up on them and have 2 edelbrock 600's to install. I pulled a QJet from my brother's '66 Riv and replaced it with an old Edelbrock dual quad intake. I put 2 new 600 edelbrocks on it and it sure made a difference on top end!!! Sounds awesome!! Ordered a new Edelbrock dual quad breather for their new intakes and it fit perfect under the hood with about 1 inch clearance. The QJet had better driveability, but no wow factor and this current edelbrock setup leaves the old Q in the dust. Also outperforms the stock intake by a good margin. :3gears:

    quads

Can't type tonight. That price on the Ebay ripoff setup was over $1000. $1250 with shipping to be exact. Carbs coated and impressive looking, but were worn junk inside. I love Ebay, but there are those who love to beat others and I have found my share of them. :af:

    Ebay

Basically, I love it. You do have to watch items you get. Have to assume that you will take a beating sometime or antoher. I have done very well on some purchases, so I guess it all works out in the end. Carbs are a no no from there.
