Chrysler used the Carter AVS (Air Valve Secondary) a lot back in the '60s. Chevy used it on the 275 HP 327 in '66, but it has a "funky" vertical fuel inlet at the back. I love them because of the secondary design... very little obstruction (800 CFM ?), and the adjustable butterfly above the metering system, like the Quadrajet. Happy motoring, Frank:beer
