I have a issue with my drum brakes. I planned on replacing my drum brakes on my 65 Lark this weekend. I have replace my right rear brakes with new springs and shoes. Now I cant get my drums back on. What do I need to do? This is really getting on my nerves. I need help.

Did you turn your bottom adjuster all the way in after installing the new shoes.

Smokey15 So old that I use AARP bolts.

Same drums or new ones? If reusing old drums, there may be a ridge on the drum on the inside. If so, have them turned to clean them up.

I bought new rear drums and the front drums are fine. I noticed this issue last week and I'm sorry for not mentioning it earlier. I replaced the bottom adjuster

Yes, but you need to turn the star wheel all the way in by hand. The adjuster moves the shoes out as the brakes/drum wears.

Another problem is that the material on the brake shoe could be too thick.
