464, stage 2 SE aluminum heads. 10.91 compression on this next build. Looking to run pump gas. Looking at the TA-510 cam or open to Some suggestions. I have a spx intake & 1050 dominator. Motor will be going back in the S10 pickup. Truck in full trim weights 2945lbs. Turbo 400, fti 4000 stall & 430 gear. If anyone has a good cam up for grabs, let me know. Thanks Billy.
Shouldn't be a problem with a healthy cam 304 or 308 s ...or even a big hydraulic ..should make good power ...my engine is 11.2 on pump...the 510 cam should be fine as well
With 10.9:1 static compression, and the TA-510 cam on a 106* ICL, the Dynamic Compression Ratio will be 7.65. Between that and the aluminum heads, pump gas should be no problem at all.
Yes, And be a lot easier on the bottom end assembly. Will be using stock rods with ARP rod bolts this time. Turning it 6500 max, shifting @ 6000.
I got a med/ large solid roller and lifters out of the Regal. Dont know if ya got enough compression to do it justice. PM if interested
I run 11.6-1 with a hyd roller from Scott - runs pump gas, we have 100 at the pump over here, goes 6.50 in the 1/8th.
