Has anybody ever slammed a Duce & a quarter? I want to lower my 63. I have a pair of caprice. They are a lot shorter and stiffer than the stock ones. But they will lower the front but I'm not sure how much. I have one side installed and it lowerd it a few inches :TU: but I'm wondering what the other side will do.
How would I go about the rear. Does anybody have drop springs for these cars? I saw that the lower part of the rear spring was tapered but I'm unsure about the top. :Do No:

Hey good times with that one. When I got my '65 225 the coils had been heated in the front. After a while they sagged and was resting on the smashed bumpstops. It would scrape everything.
I had a set of v6 s-10 springs laying around so I tried em and it was an improvement for shure. Not shure how far the car was lowered cuz I had never seen it with stock springs. But they got it just high enough to get some travel. Also get a set of those big fat shocks, helped big time. I think the rear had 70's skylark springs. It was perfect.
    Enjoy,

    the ****

That car is awesome. Is it on bags or hydrolics? I finished dropping my front and it barely tucks the factory white walls. Engine cross member sits 2" off the ground.I havent figured out what I'm doing with the rear yet. Thinking really hard about bagging it. I removed the factory springs to see what it looks like. :jd: Holy ****. Thats awesome!!!!!!!! And its sitting on bumpstops. Sits about as low as the rear of the in the picture. Car is sitting on 235/70/15s now. Wanting go get some 15" wires with wide white walls. :TU: I like the Reverse rims but I dont know if they'll have a problem clearing the edge of the fender. :Do No:

For 'da 411 on 'dat shiznit sled, click on 'da "'64 on 'da floor" link in my first post.
At the link site (Buick Street), there are more great pics of the car, build info and contact info on the owner as well.
Yours looks like it is on it's way down to the ground! The fullsize Bufords really make kickin' sleds!
