Tired of that part of the world. Electric cars can’t get here any sooner. I mean all of them. Except Ford Deisel Trucks.

Where is the electricity going to come from? How are we going to distribute it?

If the general public was smart. Nuclear power would be approved and the work force shift from oil shipping and coal digging to grid building & maintenance. But as mentioned it takes time.

But nuclear power is scary... (never mind the actual data compared to all other energy sources).

The problem with Nuclear power is actually two problems; disposal of spent fuel rods, and the Human tendency towards complacency. In Massachusetts we had the first Nuclear power station in the USA -Yankee Atomic. It ran problem-free for more then 30 years and was shut down when it's design life was up. Nuclear power can work very well.
However, no state wants used Nuclear fuel dumped within it's borders, and we really don't know how to store something 100% contained for 25,000 years or so; there is a moral question about inflicting our dangerous garbage on people who won't be born for another 10,000 years. Humans are also not good at monitoring things; Famous last words - "the system has worked for 15 years without even the tiniest problem, so it will work just fine for the next 15 minutes while I take a wizz and grab a cup of coffee..."

I heard we only have about 11.5 years left. So why worry about 10,000 years from now;) :)

Steve, US is now number one producer or energy. We don’t need them or get anything from Iran. They were once the worlds pistachio supplier. Remember that red dye on them? Now I bet California blows them away and no crappy red dye.

Iran is the last of the middle eastern nations from what I know who has not bowed down to the western world, call it the UN, the elite, one world Gov. Or whatever.
The Saudis are in control in that area and govern what happens. With us as thier guard dog.

Since my short life I've seen these middle eastern counties get picked off one by one with the assiniation of there leaders and the replacement of democracy which is not working out. Kadafi, Hussein and bin ladin(we could argue we wasn't the countries leader but he held the power)

Who ever went against the Saudis got taken out and the American people were fed propaganda to give us fuel to add to the deception.

And here we go again. All superpowers have thier target on Iran. But iran ain't no punk and they have the means to defend themselves. They just dont have what thier enemy's has, an alliance and ability to control counties and the people with in it with information or Disinformation.

If we take it to the bible remember God has risin up enemies of his people just to woop thier tails because of sin of thier lands.
The more I learn, I'm thinking we are the second Babylon the bible speaks of. We are the nation with the all 7 sins out in the open, we are the super military power of the world. We are ones blinded by what we learned in school. I pray Iran doesn't really strike. And I pray we are smart enough as a country to know when it is our own that strikes and calls it the enemy.
If we keep poking these people with a stick, they are going to get mad.

Drone for drone, eye for eye.
But I only have 2 eyes so I say f all this.

Humans can also be lazy/cheap when it comes to going the extra mile for safety. In hindsight Fukushima was completely preventable. The people in power were warned that a large tsunami could flood the plant. But they ignored the warnings.

Photovoltaik+Wind is the future. Storage Solutions will be developed soon
, e.g. Power to gas. Gas as in methane not gasoline.
Once that mission is achieved they can chew their crude oil.

If you are being serious, I disagree but you have you own reasons to believe it is scary. I believe it is no more scary than other possible man made or natural catastophies. It was not my intent to divert the coversation so this is the last comment I'll make.
