I was looking at the WS website and noticed that they have the 64-66 doors listed as available in fiberglass. This got me thinking......are they all the same door ?? Or close enough to work ? I wouldn't think that someone would make all 3 years worth of doors if they all were different. That would be taking a big chance on doors for a car that isn't ''Chevy'' popular, and a bigger chance even, in the fact that they are, in my opinion, not the ''popular'' years(read: not a 70-72 GS) for a Buick even. So are they all the same ? Anyone know ? Just thinking about a light pair of doors for my car, while not destroying my complete, fully functional, doors. In case the car ever returns to street use, and comes off the track. My thinking is they ARE all the same door, and WS is using one mold for all of them. I hope soooo Thanks..............
WS fiberglass http://www.wsracingfiberglass.com/ As for the doors, I had a chance to quick measure the 66' doors I have here. And the measurements are dang neart' exact. I am thinking the only differences could be in the hinge, latch areas. Anyone know about any of these ??? I am thinking I am gonna strip, gut, and lexan the 66' doors either way. When I try them on, and if they don't fit............... someone will get a smokin' deal on a light pair of straight doors for a 66'.
That's pretty weird. A 66 door, if they actually make it, would fit a 67. Note that they sell parts for a "68 Apollo" (Yeah, them Nova parts should fit Apollos!!! ou: ou: ou: ) I'd contact them and try to get a pic.
